Once upon a time
there was a young mademoiselle named Cassandra.
She was a little awkward and a little quirky, but for the most part she was pretty
nondescript. She loved basking in the evening sun, working on her art, going to local
concerts, and spending time with her friends and family.
She especially loved admiring beautiful
things on silly but addictive websites.
She spent long hours on websites like pinterest, etsy, deviantart, last.fm, and pandora radio,
sifting through content for those rare diamonds in the rough. When she found such a thing,
she would rush to her social networks, and go dancing through the house in search of her
loved ones, eager to share her treasure with them.
One day Cassandra was lounging comfortably in her swiveling office chair, sipping a bold
cup of joe and wrapped tight in the quilt she made her beau that prior christmas, whittling
away time online when she came across a picture of a cozy looking hipster girl sitting
cross-legged with an elephant, courtesy of her dear friend Caitlin.
"Eep!" squealed Cassandra in delight, and she set to whipping open her facebook so she
could share the image with all her elephant and cross-legged-indie-girl loving friends.
As she was preparing to hit the send button she paused, pondering whether or not her
elephant and cross-legged-indie-girl loving friends on myyearbook would also enjoy
her little gem? And on that note, would her elephant and cross-legged-indie-girl loving
friends on myspace like that photograph as well?
"Well," she thought, "Isn't this a dilemma."
While Cassandra had no qualm taking the time to write a ridiculously long blog post
full of nonsensical whimsies, she was a fairly lazy individual who found having to log
into four or so websites to post something was... well... a bit of a drag.
It was then that she had the brilliant idea,
like the majority of teens/young-adults/stay-at-home-moms,
to make herself a blog where she could spam the living hell out of her loved ones with
amazing pictures of elephants and cross-legged-indie-girls and chatter away about
mildly interesting but irrelevant happenstances.
It was then that the blog Sunshine in SLC was born.
The end.
